Prof. Dr. Rovshan Guliev is Full Professor of World Economy, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, UNEC Business School, Baku, Azerbaijan. Professor R. Guliev graduated from Baku State University with a degree in mathematics in 1978. He defended his PhD thesis on Application of mathematical methods in Economics in 1984 at the Computing Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Moscow) and doctoral thesis on the World economy in 2005, Institute of Agrarian Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow).
His research focuses on contemporary problems of the world and Azerbaijani economy. He has published over 100 articles in professional journals. He is author and co-author or editor of 11 books. His latest research resulted in the publication of The effects of capital structure on efficiency [2019, International Conference of Sustainable Development], Evaluation of the quality of education based on word of mouth marketing [2019, UNEC Publishing], The role of evaluation of learning outcomes in improving the quality of education [2019, UNEC Publishing], Tourism marketing strategy of the government [2019, UNEC Publishing], International economic integration: essence, goals and approaches [2018, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences].
He has lectured and taught Economics, Econometrics and Finance at many universities and business schools in the region, at various levels: under-graduate, graduate, post-graduate, doctorate, and MBA. He is a member of the editorial board of scientific journals (e.g. “News of UNEC”, “Silk Way Journal”), member of the scientific committee of numerous international conferences and a reviewer for conferences and journals.
